I've had this lens for a few weeks now and I've mostly been shooting sports. The lens is perfect for indoor sports where the gym/court/field is typically poorly lit. The lens is fast enough to freeze the players mid play and the autofocus can keep up with the action. The range is plenty to shoot players from across the gym/court/field. Can't wait to take it outside for soccer season.I also played with the Canon 70-200 which is also very nice. Its more a case of which type of caviar you prefer. However, the savings with the Sigma will allow me to pay my mortgage and still have left over for a nice prime lens to add to my growing collection of lenses. |
